ToddlerTag - The principles

A child safety tag is provided and allocated to each child. These are about the size of a thumbnail and can be supplied in a number of different formats including bracelets, high visibility child safe badges or even through our own range of intelligent clothing, ToddlerTag Smart-wear™.

The other main component of the system is an RFID reader, generally placed in strategic locations in the nursery to detect child movement around potential ‘hot-spots’ e.g. Exits, Kitchens, Stairways etc. This reader has an aerial which is capable of reading any tag that moves into, or out of range, raising alarms where necessary. Any number of readers can be employed with the software to ensure maximum coverage through creation of a ‘virtual ring-fence’. This is a particularly useful feature when it comes to monitoring child movements in external play areas.

ToddlerTag Mobile

Child safety monitoring system designed to work in any external environment. 

• Automatic alerts if any electronically tagged child moves up to 15 metres away from our PDA reader. This ‘virtual ring-fence’ distance can be reduced to suit user preferences.
• Links seamlessly into the ConnectChildcare PDA database. Includes child accident recording, full child details, dietary requirements, permissions and contacts.
• Automatic head count function.
• Fully automated ‘Electronic Registers’
